I spent the school years in a small rural community in Kansas and have lived in the southeast Texas area since high school graduation in 1977. In-depth Training in Real Estate includes Principles I & II, Law of Agency, Home Inspection, Marketing, Appraisal, Contracts, Finance, Loan Officer’s Training, Real Estate Math, Property Management, Real Estate Accounting, Commercial Leasing, Real Estate and Water, Custom Homes, RE Environment and Critters, Pests & Real Estate, etc.

Coming from a small rural farming community in the rolling hills of eastern Kansas, I had a lot of interest from an early age in the construction and floor plans of houses. The homes I lived in were compiled of the old lath-and-plaster walls, the exteriors and fences from the native stone from the Flint Hills. My first home had running water only to the kitchen sink, and so the proverbial Saturday night bath was in order--a large aluminum tub in one bedroom of a two bedroom house with five other siblings. In elementary school, I constructed a simple “one room schoolhouse” for a science project, cutting all of the studs and rafters from paneling scraps made to scale. I always wanted to be an architect, but that was financially unfeasible.

Oh, but now I am so blessed to be in a profession where I design, plan and watch many great projects manifest before me. It makes life exciting knowing that you are doing exactly what you were created for. Being raised in a very humble environment, I have always realized the privilege of having a home. Everyone on this great, green earth should have a decent roof over their head and a soft pillow and clean bed to rest upon.

The best days of all are seeing people, with seemingly slim hopes of homeownership, have that dream manifested into reality.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11
